Read an article on mon in Today paper.. So , this entry is kinda late.. The title of the article caught my eyes “Is Generation Y ready for their first recession?” Yep, I belong to the Generation Y category.. It will be more correct to say tat this is the 2nd recession which I have faced.. Okies, the first recession was in 1997 .. I was still in school so it do not have any impact on me.. I haven studied econs then ;p 11 years down the road which lead to present, 2008.. Seriously, I am caught off guard and not prepared for the current recession .. I guess tat it has a great impact this time round as it affect job availability .. Haiz.. It was stated in the papers ‘ after sending 50 resumes & 10 interviews after 6 months, the fresh graduate will take up any job which are available and they started to see their friends taking up lousy jobs’ Oh well… Tat’s kinda true.. When u reach the road of desperation, anything seems okies or fine to you..I dunno.. Was telling SY , Chewy & Jamie the other day tat now is the best time to study .. I hope tat it will be better next year.. The financial news are getting more & more depressing each day tat I dun feel like reading them anymore.. Hmm.. Wat to do? Cyn & I were discussing abt this misfortune the other day.. After we survived thru’ this recession, we are going to prepare for the next one.. Maybe we think too far.. But I think tat it’s better to be prepared.. Another 10 years down the road..It will be year 2018.. Now have to save every penny.. Trying to be more positive everyday..
